Extension stealing

Hi guys,
i found someone on the extension section stealing my
free ajax search module and selling it for money. Someone allready bought it.
The fake:
http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route ... on_id=1809
The Original:
http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route ... sion_id=65
He also used the same image for the download (take a look into my additional images).
So can someone of the
opencart developers compare the uploads? And if he steals my extension what about the money? Can you pay back to the buyer or notify him so he can get back his money?

Make sure you click on the "Report" button for the extension. It will be automatically disabled if it gets 5 reports. I already clicked it once for you.

Does the developer get "banned"? or he just simply upload again and someone else will buy again.
And next month we will read the same thread again

While it worked to a degree, it would have been far easier if mods had access to just disable it and ban the developer immediately, rather than having to wait til 5 votes to get it done, but I guess it did get resolved

I did report the extension but it seems there are very few people caring about that kind of things. The guy I gave link to wasn't banned either...

Hi Guys
I've sent the details to Daniel, hopefully this will be resolved shortly. I did try and get this sorted when it was brought up, however I don't have direct access to modify the extensions
Also a big thanks for spotting and reporting this. It's something that can't always be found easily, so eagle eyed users are a great help!
Kind regards
Jay

I faintly remember checking them both but not really seeing any shared code.. but I can't recall.

Sorry was thinking about another mod. I've removed the offending clone.
