Im german too and i work on german translation for Opencart Version 1.0 and it is 90% completed.

I need info about the script where the language is included.......i hope for german

I have the opencart offline installed with xammp and write a new install-file for german. Now i become follow error:

Can somebody help me?

Now i have 100% completed the german translation for OpenCart.

Front & Backend in Version 1.1+ is now complete German.

just out of curiosity how are you guys planning to use opencart (btw great piece of software) out of the box is not compliant with local german law, and the translation is one step but there are many additional ones neede...and getting sued is for sure not an option at all...

und hier dann nochmal in deutsch. So mal ganz neugierig gefragt, die Übersetzung alleine, reicht ja nicht um Opencart an deutsches Recht anzupassen - hat jemand von euch schon einen Plan bzw eine Idee Opencart hierfür fit zu machen?

that's right mainsty. i think we should create a list with all the missing features and make this thingy german law compliant.

what i've done so far:

1. edited the catalog templates to show - incl tax and excl. shipping - with every product

what's missing:

1. a prepayment module (bank transfer - vorkasse)
2. customer must accept the ToS (AGB) and cancellation policy (Widerrufsbelehrung) on every checkout

that's it for now. any more ideas?

with support-forum and downloads - german localized version of OpenCart ?!

In this case, it should be possible, to fix some bugs you'll might have with "language-files" only...?!

webspace is not the problem  perhaps i could bring something up till tomorrow.
but we should ask Daniel if he's ok about it plus daniel would be the best man to implement these things.

OpenCart ist doch OpenSource ?!
Warum sollte es da also Probleme geben, solange die "eingedeutschte" Version ebenfalls als OpenSource unter der GPL zur Verfügung gestellt wird ?

Außerdem bietet Daniel doch mit dem OpenCart in englisch eine Basis - sodass nur gewisse Teile "Editiert" werden müssen.

Im Prinzip geht es mir darum, dass bei einer komplett-Übersetzung Bugs vermieden werden, welche ich z.B. bei OpenCart 0.7.9 hatte, wenn man mehrere Sprachen angelegt hat.

Und Bezahlmethoden sind immernoch Module, die "Separat" eingebunden werden - also nicht direkt in den Core eingreifen...

Ich halte es durchaus für Sinnvoll, Nutzern auch eine deutsche Version anzubieten - denn ich möchte nicht wissen, wieviele zu den "großen" Systemen gewechselt sind, weil OC nur in englisch zur Verfügung steht...

Ach ja - was auch noch angepasst werden müsste ist die Rechnung...
für D müsste der Rechnungspreis einmal in Netto und die MwST ebenfals separat aufgelistet werden

Grad mit Daniel gechattet - das Projekt würde von seiner seite aus in Ordnung gehen, und er hat uns auch angeboten, Änderungen in das System einzubinden

jep - ich hab mal versucht, den besitzer von opencart.org anzuschreiben, ob eine übernahme möglich ist ...

denn das ding ist "einfach nur scheisse" und schon seid jahren nicht mehr aktuell^^

opencart.org ist nicht verfügbar, da dies nur ein teil eines größeren projektes ist, welches noch nicht "tot" sei...

schade - es muss also eine andere domain her...

wie wäre es mit opencart-de.org oder auch opencart-de.com ?

This used to be available in Opencart 0.7.9, why is it not in Opencart 1.x ?

So ich bin wieder mal da....es hat sich ja hier einiges getan. Das wäre denke ich mal ne gute Möglichkeit alles in ein deutsches Projekt umzuwandeln oder auszugliedern, da es auch sehr viele deutsche Anwender gibt und das es um einiges einfacher wird die Probleme in Deutsch zu schildern.

Denn das Grundgerüst von OpenCart ist garnicht mal so falsch.Ich würde jedenfalls ein deutsches Projekt von Opencart sehr begrüßen.

ich hab heute mal Opencart geladen und angesehen. Mir gefällt, wie simpel es zu handhaben ist und die Performance gefällt mir erstmal auch. Schön wäre DEUTSCH. Also die Frage an euch: Wann kann ich die Eindeutschung runterladen?
