According to this blog in Practical Ecommerce, Opencart has won ' First place honours for best open source ecommerce product'. It looks like the OC forum has been voted first too

lol, well I worded the posting cautiously because the announcement seemed to come out of the blue.
Still, OC had a mention in Practical Ecommerce before, and I'm not at all surprised it won

This is good news.
A thank you to all who contributed to the OpenCart project.
I have been using OpenCart since 0.7.7, and I was always impressed by the easy to use MVCL framework.
