Product Options affect Postage

Hello all,

I have just ran into a problem in a shop I am developing.

I am setting up a site, where I can sell prints of artwork. All seem to be working fine, but I have a problem when it comes to the postage.

The problem is that each print can be sold in different sizes, from very small to quite big. And obviously it is far cheaper to post a small print than it is to post a very big (and framed) print.

Now, I don't want to add each size for every image as a different product, so I need to find a way to make up the postage according to the different options (read sizes) of the print.

I could include postage in the price of the option, but that would not work, because I could send 3 of the smaller prints for the same price as 1. I have been playing with this, by setting the weight of all my products to 2kg and in the weight based shipping extension setting up to 6kg for €7 postage and up to 12kg €14 etc. etc.
But this only works for the smaller prints, the bigger ones are completely different to post. So, I could include the difference of the postage (so the excess of the €7) to the price of the option, but then I run into the same problem again when people order more than one big print...

Any suggestions (or suitable extensions) are welcome!
