Homepage Slider with start / End Date

Hi,
This is my first post on this forum, I've just installed OC 1.4.9.3. and managed to install / integrate some extensions. Everything seems to work fine.
I'm struggling with some things though:
I would like to have the possibility to set a start & end date on the slides that get shown in the homepage slider. When I look for the excisting sliders, they all have a lot of tools, but none of them has what I'm looking for.
Can someone customize an excisting module, or otherwise help me out?
