To translate do I only have to copy the English version and to save it as another language to translate? How will we do where there are updates? Will we have to translate everything from scratch again?

right you would use eng as a base then translate..

after any new release just have to compare to see if any new lang variables added..

Thanks. Why aren't translated languages included in the standard installation? This way the developers could update them with English entries and it would be easier to update, just search for English entries and translate...

Not really. The developers are one person managing the whole stuff. This would cost him additional time and therefore it would take longer for new releases to come out. Think about it :)

Come on :)
A script can easily do this recursively, leaving plenty of time for the devs for other things.

If any here can suggest a better way for me to have other developers work on OpenCart and still keep to the high coding standards and consistency in the code it would be great.

The problem I don't thnk there is anyone in the forums thats knows OOP programming and understands design patterns.

The problem is I need to contact each translator for every each new release. Once things are more stable I will include other translations. At the moment I have scandic doing the german translation and there is another member doing italian.

I think most people use OOP these days, no? Same for XHTML/CSS... Just an assumption...
If I had time I would love to contribute, but I have so much stuff late :(
I translated to Brazilian Portuguese but the interface doesn't extend to adapt to my large words that occupy much space :(
