Goole base setup Problem (1.4.9.3)

I have my store working just fine (1.4.9.3) and decided to turn on the Google base function.
Now I am not all that familiar with how this works so i am looking for the crayon version of instructions for this.

The problem I am having is that having verified my URL, (Although it keeps telling me I have yet to verify, its status is verified), I go to the Merchant Dashboard > all data feeds.
There are none listed so I select New Data Feed and follow the instructions in the Opencart module

Data Feed Url:
This url points to your feed. Paste it into your feed server.

The feed URL is:

http://www.retro-tactical.com/index.php ... oogle_base

So I paste this into google and what I get is:

Note: Filenames with special characters are not supported
These characters are not allowed: /, :, =, ?

What has gone wrong and what do I need to do to fix this?

Change your feed name to something like feed.xml
The url goes in the scheduler (click edit next to your feed entry once you've created it)

Where is the scheduler?

Create your feed in the merchant center. give it a name that will let you know what it is, like my_site_feed.xml (the name really isn't important)
Leave everything else alone. Once you've made it, you will be able to see it under feeds on the left hand side

Then edit will be next to the feed entry, set the time you want it to upload, how often, and the URL goes in the address box on that popup

I created two, the real one which will upload over night and a test one that uploads in a couple of minutes.

I am completely new to RSS feeds. I was using text files for my Google Base feeds. Please help. I followed the directions on this post and entered the URL as shown in my Google Base module. I am getting a bunch of errors after it tried processing the feed. Here is one of them:

This goes through the entire error log. I also have over 4000 items so I am not sure why it says 7 or 8. Can anyone point me in the right direction to get this working? Thanks!
