After selecting PayPal as the payment option, then clicking on agree to the terms and then the continue button, I receive the following:

Configuration error: You MUST have created an order status for "Paid Unconfirmed" for every installed language. The following sql statement returned no rows select `order_status_id` from `order_status` where `name` = 'Paid Unconfirmed' and `language_id` = '1'

What have I done wrong or not done right?

Thanks,
Sam

why not read the error message
I suppose I assumed everyone would have that by now. Add an order status to your store named "Paid Unconfirmed"
Personally I think that and "Pending" are functionally the same, but since it seems widely accepted now, we've officially adopted it.

Sorry, I didn't understand why it stated You MUST have instead of You MUST.  I was looking for something I MUST have done wrong. I created the order status and it works now. Unfortunately I was looking into adding the PayPal Contrib which I think already addresses this issue but I still had a question about over writing the catalog folder with the catalog folder in the Contrib.

Thanks,
Sam

Why, after going to PayPal's site is PayPal asking to recalculate shipping according to zipcode?  The shipping it's including is 5.00 instead of 5.50 which is on the cart checkout?

Thanks,

Read the FAQ to understand how folders copying works. http://forum.opencart.com/index.php/topic,2612.0.html

Can't say I've ever seen that.
What settings? what kind of product? tax class? currency?

Clicking on Enter calculate to zip-code I get this:

http://www.southwoodsbookstore.com/book ... roduc5.gif[/img]

Which gives me this:

http://www.southwoodsbookstore.com/book ... roduc4.jpg[/img]

Actaully, what it's doing is adding 5.50 shipping from OpenCart to the book price of 6.00 and then asking to calculate shipping cost again in PayPal by adding another 5.00.  Is this perhaps somewhere in my PayPal account, maybe?

The settings in OpenCart admin is http://www.southwoodsbookstore.com/book ... etting.jpg[/img]

The product is a book.

No tax class in OpenCart but there is in PayPal for my state which requires tax added only to residents of my state (TN)

Currency is US Dollars.

Thanks,
Sam

I've never seen that "enter ship-to zipcode". I'll do some research

I don't see any place I can do this.  Is this supposed to be in the admin under module or shipping?

Thanks,
Sam

Resolved.  The problem is how I had my PayPal shipping calculations setup.  Since I'm not yet using OpenCart for my bookstore, I had a flat rate shipping calculation in PayPal of $5.00 for all orders on the PayPal cart I'm currently using.  After deleting the shipping calculation, PayPal does not ask for a calculation for shipping and handling.

Thanks,
Sam
