I did a CSV import over 24 hours ago and everything was working fine, all the Categories, Sub-Categories and Products were showing up fine until I added a photo to one of the products.

When I added the photo I noticed it dissapeared from the Cart. I viewed the product in the Admin console and noticed that no categores were selected for it, when I searched in the category list I noticed a whole bunch of categores were missing, everything that started with "Dog Food".

In this example the 11 lb. bag of Salmon flavored dog food is missing even after I added a photo (all other settings remained the same):

Even thought the categories are not showing up on the list, the cart still works...I also checked the Database and it looks like the categories are still there.

I have no idea what's going on but would appreciate any help you can give me.

So I added a test category and suddenly all of the missing categories appear???

I'm getting exactly the same issue!! out of interest, how many levels of hierarchy do you have ?

Sorry to hear that I am not the only person to have this problem.

* I tell the volunteers that help with the stores to always edit the "test" category first before doing anything and it seems to work.

It seems like a bug to me, I wish the programer of the cart would chime in...but it is a nice store.

If you come up with a solution please post it.

I've moved to 1.4.9.4 and the problem , so far, has gone..

For those still having issues with this, it has to do with the Cache. Check this post for the solution: http://forum.opencart.com/viewtopic.php ... 80#p154998

It was fixed in 1.4.9.5
