Do you know that? Is there a fix for it?

Wow, OpenCart can actually crash IE6?
We call that a feature!

when you say crash you mean windows actually kills the program? I'd say format c: is your solution

I spoke to with Qphoria about this and we both agreed that this is a feature not a bug.

But on a more serious note, I couldn't reproduce this, I'd suggest resetting your browser and removing all plugins.

Yeah my live test is SVN, which works fine in IE6.

Is there a page in particular it crashed at?

With version from svn everything seems fine. And I noticed that with RC5 IE crashes if address is literal, if it is ip everything is ok. But as I was playing with t to find out exact reproducible conditions, it stopped crashing. System on which crash occured was clean win xp sp2 install, without any updates or anything.

I figured out what is causing ie6 to crash. It's the css tag "behavior: url('catalog/javascript/png/iepngfix.htc');", I've used it in many places when was playing with the templates. And when all of it are commented out, ie doesn't crash.

The iepngfix was updated not long ago, I can't see it being a problem though.

I've never seen IE crash off iepngfix...

that file is meant to support transparency for png images in IE6 right? Maybe your IE6 is just really against png transparency!  ;)

I have stopped using *.htc files for getting IE6 to support alpha channels for PNG files. In my experience they never work 100%, there are always odd cases of IE6's PNG rendering problems left even with htc-files. IE6 is now down to a 19.6% market share according to the W3C browser statistics, and soon it won't be worth the effort to support to non-standard compliant old browser like IE6.
