Hi all, I want to create a site that sells Paints that has some complex attributes that effect the price of a product based on the size(Lt) and colour selected. I have seen another site that does this well here :
http://www.shepherdmarine.com/topcoats/ ... p-standard
The ral colours are set into 4 groups shown here:
http://pdf.shepherdmarine.com/colour_ch ... chart.html
I want to create the same functionality and have been told if I use the following two addons for magento I would be able to do so :

http://www.mageworx.com/advanced-produc ... nsion.html
for the custom product options

+

http://www.magentocommerce.com/magento- ... om-options
to combine the options between the size and colour

I would like to know if this is possible in OpenCart and if so what addons would I require or what is the best process to do this? Also would I be able to display the colour of the selected item next to it like on shepard marine

Kind regards,

Danny

Ouch! I one post, you have managed to hit Opencart's 'Achilles Heel'.

Multiple product options are possible and easy to set-up however, there is no relationship between them which renders them useless (or rather, restricts them to a single option) if you want to apply any sort of stock control.

I had a look at solving it myself but decided that it was too complicated for me. If someone solves this with an extension, it will be very popular!

Free v1.4.9 Extensions: Default Specials | Improved Search | Customer Activity Report | Customer Groups | Royal Mail With Handling | Improved Product Page | Random Products | Stock Report | All Products

well he's not only asking for option combinations like you mention, but also dependent options and a very complex dependent option setup as well where multiple sub options are dependent on one main option.

So no the current answer for this is that no there is no way to do this with opencart it would have to be custom coded.

Suppose you wanted to sort Products with special prices, based on % savings over normal price, with greatest saving potential products appearing before those with lower savings, how would you or should we go about it?

Do the great developers of Opencart modules feel up to grabbing this challenge and making a solution available for free rather than commercializing it?

There are a number of methods available to pull this off but most of them are $$$. One that is free is here http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route ... n_id=13967 <--- That one works with OptionsBoost

This is what we use (customized all of them to work together which makes a rich options environment):

Hello, is there an option to something like this take place in the OC 1.5.6.4?
Therefore, the choice of bottles on the basis of weight, only two options are important but they are not all involved already see the weight?

Example: https://www.wajos.de/produkte/likoere-u ... likor.html
