Gift Registry

I think we need a gift registry module.
I lack the skills to code it myself and am willing to pay somebody to do it for me.
Thoughts?

What are you understanding under a 'gift registry' module?

A customer comes to the store and picks a whole bunch of items to add to a gift registry. then they give the link to their friends and their friends can buy items for them.
Friends need to be able to find the gift registries and purchase items off them.
I have started to write one now check this forum and make any feature request you may want.
