Opencart features digital download products, but I think this is currently geared towards files such as ebooks or software, a single file downloadable many times.

What i am interested in setting up is digital products that will be a unique pin number each download. Idealy I would want the pin number to be emailed instantly to the customer once payment has been processed.

Does anyone have thoughts on how this can be done?.

This is a similar thing done in osc if anyone is upto coding anything  :)

Yes you can do this with OpenCart, but the admin options aren't exactly clear. On the downloads set up page, enter a number in the "Remaining" field. If you enter 3, then they can download the item 3 times. The Mask field is what you use to call the downloaded file. So if you want the file to be saved as digitalproduct.zip, then enter digitalproduct.zip in the Mask field.

The only thing it doesn't do that you are asking is to email a link to download the file. Instead, the user has to click on My Account then Downloads, which will then allow them to download the file.

At the moment OpenCart only supports downloads of general digital products, up to n times, for a logged in user who has purchased them. In order to create unique digital products for downloads you'd have to program it yourself in file /catalog/controller/account_download.php.

Export/Import Tool * SpamBot Buster * Unused Images Manager * Instant Option Price Calculator * Number Option * Google Tag Manager * Survey Plus * OpenTwig
