V1.4.9.3 Step by step how to setup downloadable products

Hello all,

This OpenCart is great! I've got everything working just fine for all my products except my digital products I want to sell as downloads.

I've searched the forum, but cannot find a step-by-step on how to add download products to the catalog. I cannot figure it out by navigating thru the admin section either. If anyone can point me to some documentation, or a link, it would be appreciated. (I've got about 20 different digital products, all different, but all named setup.exe. Do I need to rename them all to different names?)

Also, if I have some already added products to my catalog, can I easily change them to download-only products?

Thanks in advance!

In Admin, go to Catalog > Downloads. You can upload a file by clicking "Insert".

I don't think you HAVE to rename them, but it would be wise - it's always best to avoid possible conflicts if you can.

Once you have uploaded all your files, you then go to a products details (or create a new product). In the product details under "Links" you can choose which download to assosciate with that product.

I really need help with the downloads. It comes back as order cancelled and cannot find out why. I am new to opencart and I am trying to sell my website templates on this program

The payment and everything goes through and when I go to my account, there is no downloads there. I also checked the status of orders and they all show cancelled. I have them set for complete both after payment received and also for downloads to be allowed by customers. Both set to complete.

I have also uploaded the file with a simple name and its a .txt document for testing purposes.

I use 2 paypal accounts for buying an selling and for testing.

Please help...
