Hi eveybody!
How's it going? I'm a new user here so, very nice to "meet" you here guys!
I have a problem with my 1.4.9.1 Open Cart regarding the regular Paypal payment method.
Everything works great except one thing...I reveice payments but there's always a weird message in my email notification and in the user email notification.
- The user, after the purchase, receive the confirmation email and inside of it, in the "comments of your order", find this phrase: "PP_Standard - No data/response from verification."
- In my email account, after the purchase, I receive 2 emails, the first:

SUBJECT: "ATTN: Paypal Order # needs manual verification"
EMAIL TEXT: PP_Standard - No data/response from verification.
DEBUG GET VARS::tx=40R2************U
st=Completed
amt=0.02
cc=EUR
cm=ZmE%3d
item_number=
route=payment/pp_standard/pdt
merchant_return_link=Back to MY STORE
form_charset=UTF-8

...and the second email:

SUBJECT:"ATTN: Paypal Order # needs manual verification"
TEXT: PP_Standard - Non-complete order status received for order. Research needed.

DEBUG POST VARS::

DEBUG GET VARS::tx=40R2************U&st=Completed&amt=0.02&cc=EUR&cm=ZmE%3d&item_number=&route=payment/pp_standard/pdt&merchant_return_link=Back to MY STORE&form_charset=UTF-8&

---

What's wrong with my configuration? After the payment, the order status is "pending" and I have to modify the order to "completed" manually. It depends on the Paypal config or on the store settings?
Please help me someway, I'm going crazy with this stuff ??? ;)

This means that the verification step did not receive a response for some reason. Verification is sent using CURL, a php extension for server-to-server communication. It is possible that your host doesn't have curl setup correctly

Hey Qphoria, thanks for the reply...
what should I do to check if the cURL is correctly configured or not? Do you have a clear idea about it?
Other infos...in the error log of the panel, everytime someone buy an item, I find this:

I am having a similar problem.
Paypal sends me 3 emails after a purchase

Email 1)
PP_Standard - Non-complete order status received for order. Research needed.

DEBUG POST VARS::

DEBUG GET VARS::route=payment/pp_standard/pdt&tx=12U29216RT389330V&st=Completed&amt=1.00&cc=USD&cm=ZW0=&item_number=&

Email 2)
PP_Standard - No data/response from verification.

Email 3)
PP_Standard - IPN/PDT Auto-Verification Failed. This is often caused by strange characters in the customer address or name. Verify manually.

DEBUG POST VARS::mc_gross=1.00&invoice=28 - Craig Lister&protection_eligibility=Eligible&address_status=confirmed&item_number1=test123&payer_id=4AJTAEMAH6JMG&tax=0.00&address_street=129 Crooks Ave.&payment_date=02:14:04 Feb 02, 2011 PST&payment_status=Completed&charset=windows-1252&address_zip=07503&mc_shipping=0.00&mc_handling=0.00&first_name=Fayad&mc_fee=0.33&address_country_code=US&address_name=Craig Lister&notify_version=3.0&custom=ZW0=&payer_status=unverified&business=Sales@SlickPC.com&address_country=United States&num_cart_items=1&mc_handling1=0.00&address_city=Paterson&verify_sign=A2S1fniRGsoquzRDbs4f5rc383f8AAgZiylJNA8TZyEHLMTSvQu.6Tkx&payer_email=MyMediaPC.ebay@gmail.com&mc_shipping1=0.00&txn_id=12U29216RT389330V&payment_type=instant&last_name=Fayad&address_state=NJ&item_name1=Test Product&receiver_email=fayadfayad@gmail.com&payment_fee=0.33&quantity1=1&receiver_id=X69ZDLAWL3JXN&txn_type=cart&mc_gross_1=1.00&mc_currency=USD&residence_country=US&transaction_subject=ZW0=&payment_gross=1.00&

A bit old, but here was the issue for this person:

Code: Select all

PHP Notice: file_get_contents() [<a href='function.file-get-contents'>function.file-get-contents</a>]: Unable to find the wrapper "https" - did you forget to enable it when you configured PHP?
You just need to get the OpenSSL library for your cart. Also it appears that is on a localhost so IPN won't ever work on a localhost for obvious reasons.

There is no known issue with this at the moment. What issue are you having?
Enable debug in the paypal extension and what does the system error log show?

I had this same problem.

The problem i had was that my PayPal account was posting back to http://dev2.mysite.com (i.e. the development site still), so once I updated it to http://www.mysite.com it posted back correctly.

So my problem was with the Payment Data Transfer (PDT) in PayPal! :)
