Included UPS Shipping module - White screen

I'm having a problem getting the UPS module working. I've got the access key entered, along with all the other info. Every time you try and checkout it just goes to a blank white screen. I know usually this means there's a permission problem but I've verified my whole directory's owner and group is the web server and I've also set all files to 775. Shouldn't be a problem with permissions. I've also tried uninstalling the module and reinstalling but I get the same result. As soon as I disabled the UPS module, everything is fine again.

OK, just saw version 1.4.9.3 was released so I've now upgraded to the most current version and the problem persists. Anyone???

Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions? Since this is the only place for support, I'm going to be forced to switch to a different cart solution if I can't get something as simple as UPS integration working.

Well, I figured it out, php-xml is required by the UPS module. It would be nice if this was mentioned somewhere.

php-xml I guess is one of those assumed extensions like curl and fsock. But we will see about announcing them better in the install step
