Hello everyone
Maybe someone knows this problem...

I have been running version 4.0.2.3 for 2 years without any problems.
Now I thought I would try an upgrade to 4.1.0.3
It did not work. There is still 4.0.2.3 available.
Now I have noticed that the order mail and the confirmation mail no longer work in my current version 4.0.2.3.

What I did:
Loaded an old running backup => No success
Checked the entries under Mail => Ok
Sent a test mail to a test customer to me, the mail arrives. SMTP transmits the newsletter mail => Ok
Sent a test order with the SMTP setting, no mail arrives on my cell phone or PC => No success
I have sent a test order with the Mail setting and no mail arrives on my cell phone or PC => No success

Is there some kind of queue to see if a mail has been sent?
A log that documents the sending, where the problem is?
There are no problems shown in the system log.

I don't know how to do this, can anyone help me?
Any help would be appreciated...

You need to check both the PHP and the OpenCart error logs, if you haven't already.

Send an email from OpenCart to an online email deliverability checker such as mail-tester.com.

Hello, thank you very much for the answer.
As I am a complete newbie in programming I would like to know how to get a PHP logfile.
The Opencart logfile is always without errors, it shows no errors or content after ordering.

What I have also already checked is to send a mail directly via my mail server, which arrived at https://www.mail-tester.com/ very quickly.
It also shows that the mails arrive without any problems and you can also send mails to other email addresses.
Only not via Opencart for orders.
Sending mails as newsletters via opencart works perfectly.

Sometimes the PHP error log is call error_log in the web root directory. If not you can ask your host or use phpinfo() to find it.

You could also check your mail server logs if you have access to them. In cPanel it's under Track Delivery.

Also check your mail_order_add event is enabled in OpenCart.
