Hi all,
V 2.3.0.2
We have on a daily basis customers calling saying they sent us an email via our Contact us form and we haven't replied - we don't get seemingly lots of these. YET every time I test it, or ask someone else to do it directly it works - I cant get it to not work.

Now while it may just be the customers cant hit the SUBMIT button - i don't know, but its causing a lot of frustrated customers, any ideas or has anyone else had this before?

We don't have a direct email listed anywhere on the site as I don't want to be spammed

Many thanks
Clive

Have you checked the OpenCart error.log, as well as your server's raw access log and error log, to see whether there are any issues?

Export/Import Tool * SpamBot Buster * Unused Images Manager * Instant Option Price Calculator * Number Option * Google Tag Manager * Survey Plus * OpenTwig

Check both your PHP error log and the OpenCart error log.

Use an online email deliverability checker to check the contact form, such as mail-tester.com. You would to send the email via OpenCart and not your email client, so best done with a test version of you site set up exactly the same.

A lot can depend of how your email is set up.

The is an issue with 2.3.0.2 where the wrong email address is used in the from field that can cause issues.

You test these forms once a week at the very least and get an extension that saves their data to the database so you can check them even if the email doesn't get through.

Email deliverability is getting more complex by the day so you might be better off paying a developer to look into this for you.
