In Google Search Console, I don’t see my social media profiles (e.g., Facebook, Instagram) linking back to my website. I’m not entirely sure how this process works.

If I add outgoing links from my website to my social profiles, will Google recognize those profiles as being connected to my site when it crawls them? Or are the social platforms possibly blocking these outbound links from being indexed?

I’m looking for a technical explanation—not a "contact a developer" response.

Regards!
