Breadcrumb issue, who can help me?

i had with the category tree always opened. and all the products are direct under the home link like this
www.sample.com/product.html

and now,i want when visiting a product page(either from home page or subcategory page), the whole path displayed.!!!!

like this Myhome(customize name) > category > subcategory[end here] (no "> product_name" any more!!!)

other question, how to make the page navigation links static?
make
/index.php?route=product/category&path=347&page=2
to
/category/subcategory-page2.html
/category/subcategory-page3.html
/category/subcategory-page4.html

Old thread but, were you able to get the breadcrumbs displayed when going straight to a product/item from the main page? The only way I see breadcrumbs working is when you actually select category, cub-category, item. Not when selecting an item straight from the featured, cart, etc.
