Opencart 4.1.0.3 product discounts! Special?

Good morning everyone,

I'm not sure if this is a bug, a configuration issue, or what the heck is going on.

I’ve done a clean installation of OpenCart version 4.1.0.3 and I’m just starting to test products, settings, etc. The first problem I’ve encountered is that I don’t know how to set a product on sale, meaning: show the original price crossed out and the new discounted price highlighted in red and larger.

In version 2 and 3, I never had this problem thanks to the "Specials" tab. Now with "Discounts" I have no idea how to achieve this. The discounted price only shows up in the cart, but never on the product page, and the original price is never shown.

Is there any way to fix this? Or should I just go back to OpenCart 3?

No extensions are installed — this is a completely clean installation.

Just tested with a totally fresh 4.1.0.3 and I can replicate so it seems to be a genuine bug.

Do you know how to report it on Github?

Hello, no, I don't know how to do it, I'm very nob. Thanks for your answer, I think I will install 3.0.4 then...

Discounts and specials seem to work just fine on the product page....?

To set a Special price in OpenCart 4.1, set the following values under the Discount tab:

• Quantity: 1
• Type: Fixed Amount
• Special: ON

See the attached screenshot for an example.

There are still some outstanding issues with OpenCart 4.1.0.3, including some associated with the Discount/Special. These are already reported on github.
