disable product description in catalog view

Hi,

I would like some help disabling the display of product description in the catalog view. I have seen some solutions for deleting product.description in category.twig but it has not worked for me, probably because I'm not working in the default theme. The theme I use does not have any deactivation option.

Also, the page moves terribly slow in relation to Joomla pages that I usually build and host on the same hosting. Are there any techniques that could speed up the operation of the site? This is the first site I am building in Opencart and I am now discovering it.

The Opencart version is 3.0.0.2 in PHP 7.3.
As soon as I move in to 7.4 it crashes.

It may be that you have an extension that is modifying the product page, therefore, any changes you make to the template will not be seen until you refresh the modification cache.
