Integrating Custom Leather Product Customization Options

Hello, we're working on lussoleather.com, and we're trying to integrate a more robust custom leather product customization system.

We need to allow customers to select specific leather types, stitching colors, hardware, and potentially even add custom initials/logos. We've explored some existing extensions, but they don't quite meet our needs.
Has anyone successfully implemented a highly customized product configuration system for leather goods in OpenCart? We're looking for advice on best practices, potential modules, or even custom development approaches.

Well, all of this can be done with OpenCart's product options. See for example the sample 'Apple Cinema 30"' in the OpenCart demo data.
