V 2.3.0.2
1. I would like a box option ( like product name, model etc) to search for the Product ID when on the back site under products - using the Product ID that is on the front site.
2. I would also like the location shown in a column like this adjacent the price
2. Can anyone point me in the right direction to modify these?
Many thanks
Clive

If you want a quick solution try this excellent extension:
https://www.opencart.com/index.php?rout ... n_id=40817
Or this one:
https://www.opencart.com/index.php?rout ... n_id=34093
Not exactly what you asked for but they give a good result.

thanks JohnP, useful tools but not quite what i need.
My issue is we have a lot of customers who call us and over the phone quote the Product ID for example 3755 ( number automatically assigned by opencart) but there is nowhere for us to search for this number, either on the front end or the back end to know what the customer is on about.

Pardon the question but how do they get the productID? Does your frontend show it somewhere?

Good point Mike. With the first extension I suggested you could search by product name when the customer called in. Usually the customer would not know the product ID if SEO is enabled which is mostly the case now.

Yes its on the front page of the website under every product. see pic attached. Product ID has always been there, i just renamed it to 'AerobatX Product ID'

If it was
me... I'd remove that AerobatX Product ID and have them use the "Product Code" versus trying to add another thing that is because of something added to the template.

thanks all for your help - i have found this extension and posting here for others benefit later.
really useful as you can add many different columns under the products list on the backend for quick filtering, its customisable, has a much better search function, allows product quick edits too and installed easy as on my older 2.3.0.2 with no problems at all.
