2.0.x upgrade: Storage engine MyISAM is disabled

I have tried this on the following environments:
PHP7.4/ MySQL8.4
PHP7.4/ MySQL8.0

After uploading the 3.4 files and removing modifications, I'm getting this error:

What '3.4 files' are you talking about?

Anyway, ask your webhost to enable the MyISAM DB engine.
