"Error No: 2014" & "Call to a member..." Errors

Hello, my Opencart adventure started recently. I installed the 4.0.2.3 version, thinking that everything is better in the end. I had a difficult process because I did not know software. But I got used to it and my love for Opencart increased a lot.

For the last 3 days, I have encountered an error that I do not know the reason for. We need your support to resolve these errors that appear on the error logs page. I apologize to everyone if I opened this topic in the wrong place.

I didn't make any changes to the "mysqli.php" file. Error records are as follows;
1. Error

Call to a member function real_escape_string() on null in /system/library/db/mysqli.php on line 88

These errors usually occur in the same time period. Thank you in advance for your help.

And what extensions have you installed? Perhaps try disabling/removing them until you find the culprit.

I guess you should tell us the whole story .. you did not install OpenCart only, the error message tell us that you also using Journal:

.. journal3_newsletter..

Therefore you should contact the Journal support because that's not the fault of OpenCart.

Hi qrqr, First of all, thank you for your answer. Apart from the Journal theme, I installed a plugin just to improve the payment method. But I haven't made any changes in the last 3 days. I've been getting this error for the last 3 days.

Hi OSWorX. Thank you for the answer. I didn't realize that theme was at the heart of the problem. I apologize for this.
It just bothered me that this problem popped up even though I hadn't made any changes. The only thing I've been doing lately is creating ads with Meta. I don't understand why this error occurred and what it affects. I will investigate in detail. Thank you again for your answer.

We strongly recommend not to use the Journal3 framework, but a proper OpenCart system.

Also bear in mind that OpenCart 4 is still subject to bugfixes and development, for live website we recommend OpenCart 3.0.4.0.

Hi JNeuhoff. Thank you for your answer. I think you are right about Opencart 3.x version. But with 4.x I came to a point of no return. I've done a lot of advertising work with URL structures. I hope the 4.x version will now be stable.

I also think you are very right about the Journal. I started using Opencart, avoiding a different software. I needed to make a quick switch and purchased Journal without doing any research. If there is a different theme set that you can recommend that is compatible with Opencart 4.x, I would like to see it.
