OcMOD update programatically

Hello,
Im trying to update an ocmod programmatically, but I'm having a rough time. The only way I have found so far is to connect remotely using admin credentials, but that falls apart when you add a captcha to the site. Is there another way through some API or an external OcMOD doing this work, or generally any info about this?

Hi!

You can move the ocmod update functionality to the catalog and it will be available via a regular link. I recommend adding a check for some secret_key in the controller.

There is one nuance. Before updating the modifiers, the algorithm turning on the maintenance mode in the store. If an error occurs during the process, the maintenance mode will not be disabled and the store will become unavailable to customers.

Your issue description has some contradictions and lacks sufficient details for anyone to help your here. E.g. the OpenCart admin login does not require a captcha. And what exact OCmod-based extension are you talking about? For what OC version? What website? What theme? What extensions? Please provide details as per the forum rules.
