I used the "Payment Address" option to hide and remove the required fields. But when I wanted to do a final test before ordering the Plugin today it just did not work anymore. I checked the settings and they are still saved. With all the boxes unchecked.
Any clue what happened here? The extension seemed to do what I needed, but now I have to wonder If I am misremembering.
Edit:
Opencart Version 3.0.4.0
Okay upon further inspection I am really not sure if it ever worked. Is it just not compatible with that Opencart version?
Is the demo maybe Admin interface only? This seems confusing as some options explicitly tell you that they only work in the paid version.

I installed this demo on not publicly accessible test instance.

We just bought the addon blindly to receive support.
They demand FTP access to the system for support. Not ideal. To say the least. It is simply not an option. So while I figure out what would be the best way going forward there:
Anyone else installed the plugin and know what needs to be done to get the extension to work?
All the restrictions in the admin interface are gone and so is the warning about it being demo only. So the files are definitely there.
The paid version is https://www.opencart.com/index.php?rout ... n_id=15353.
Presumably you purchased that ad presumably you uninstalled the free version first.
No-one can help you with "it doesn't work".
Asking for ftp is not unusual, especially if you are saying "it doesnt work"
Maybe you have a theme, maybe you have extensions. Have you checked any logs?
The best Knowband will be able to offer if they can not access your site is to extend your support period until your shop is online.

Other extensions: Email verification
logs:
apache errorlog: Nothing
apacha access log: well http 200 responses on the sites that behave perfectly well as if the extension was not there and the fully functional admin interface
storage/logs/error.log: Nothing outside of the times i pretty much intentionally broke things by manually navigating to the "supercheckout" page. Just to get anything besides "does not work" to work with.
But at some point I gave up and contacted the support because I ran out of ideas quickly as I have no experience with Opencart.
And by nothing I mean nothing, "no new lines" today nothing. After repeating tests to log in and go to checkout or go to checkout without logging in. To name examples. Where I would expect to see the modified checkout. Or it to cause any trouble that would be logged anywhere.
From the customer side there is no indication of the extension being installed. And this matches with the logs.
The support has not requested logs.
The installation guide is 2 lines:
1. Upload the content of the upload directory on your root folder via FTP.
2. Go to Site Admin -> Extension -> Extension Installer & Install the OCMOD file
What would the "uninstall" mean here?
I removed the old Plugin via Extensions ->Extensions
and copied in the new files (and changed ownership to the user and group of the webserver)
So from my perspective there is extremely little to report on and I hoped for people with more experience with the system to get some Ideas what to look for.
Ok, so to explain in terms of reference.
You walk into BMW and say I bought a car radio from my local garage and it doesn’t work. You don’t bring in the car, so all BMW knows is that you purchased a car radio and it doesn’t work. So obviously their first question is did you ask the garage and your answer is they asked me to bring in the car.
So from our perspective it is unreasonable to be frustrated at us or suggest that we are in some way being unreasonable with suggesting that you need to bring in the car to the garage you purchased the radio from since you do not know what to look for, you purchased it from them and there is no one specific thing. For example, the car radio might not work because the fuse has blown and it has absolutely nothing to do with the car radio your purchased at all. How would you suggest for us to ask to debug what is wrong with your car electronics, car battery, fuse box, make model, compatibility, the CD you have in the boot? If I were the garage, I could spend 30 mins having a look myself, if I were to get you to do it - we would be still checking next week and there is no reasonable expectation that you understand what it means to check your electronics or did it correctly.
Is that clearer? It is not saying that you are wrong or right, it is just trying to explain the reality of what it is you want and why it does not work the way you expect it should.
Uninstall means extension => modules uninstall AND extension => extension uninstall
The first references the module installation directives, the second opencart directives. If you have done the second before the first Opencart has already uninstalled the directives for the first.
Have you checked your modification logs?
Does the extension use events?
Have you checked the events are working?
Have you tried to debug it?
Is there any debugging on the extension itself?
Have you made any changes using the design template?
Do you need some form of code from the developer?
Does the email verification make changes to the checkout page? Presumably yes.
