OC4 subscription

I installed open cart 4.0.2.3
id like to use the subscription feature, but it doesn't automatically create orders.
i setup a daily 1cent subscription to test. once i created it... it hasn't re-created any other invoices the next days.
what am i doing wrong? someone mentioned setting up a cron job in my cpanel. but help... how and what command do i give?
