Looking for a semi-long term developper

Hello,

We are looking for a developer that can help us with non-critical Opencart development.

We use Opencart 3.0.3.9 with Journal 3 on php 8.2.

We are looking for someone that can dedicate a respectable amount of time working with us. If the price is right we could even have you working full time for us remotely. There is enough work for at least 1-2 years.

About us:
We are an established company that has been selling online for 10+ years. We had 2 different stores: one using Opencart 1.5.6.4 and another on Shopify.
We decided to merge both stores into a single website. The complexity of the structure and checkout requirements forced us out of Shopify. To clarify, we merged both stores into a single opencart store, not an opencart multistore.
The website is operational and most of the heavy lifting has been done, but we need someone to further improve the site and help make it more efficient for us.

Requirements:
- Good understanding of Opencart as a whole
- Prior work done on Opencart and extension (will ask for referrals/examples)
- Good PHP/HTML/AJAX/JS skills as we will probably also have work done outside the scope of Opencart
- Knows how to use GitHub
- Available to communicate via email/calls/live chat(whatsapp/messenger/skype...)
- Be reliable and have good ethics!

We want to emphasize that we are not looking for the greatest developper, we want someone decent, reliable, that can learn quickly, and properly communicate.

Honest blunt disclaimer using AI for remuneration:
As part of our growth strategy, we are seeking skilled developers from regions with emerging tech talent, particularly in Asia, where we have seen remarkable innovation and expertise.
While we already work with talented developers from the Western world, we are looking to balance our global team by expanding into regions where the cost of living allows for more competitive pricing.
This strategy helps us maintain a sustainable business model while continuing to invest in top talent from across the globe.
We believe this creates a mutually beneficial opportunity—allowing you to join a dynamic and diverse team.

If this interests you, reply to this thread or contact us via pm. Please don't waste our time, we will do our best not to waste yours!

We have prominent developers that are on this forum that can vouch for us!

Thanks

It's funny how none of these developers (except PaulFeakins) has a proper website with a business address and contact page!

That's perfectly fine with me.

What's funny is that Paul didn't really read the post (like all others), as he would know he is not targettted for this work.

Secondly, almost all the reponses and pm's I get are canned copy/pasta messages that clearly didn't take the time to read the post. Literally only 1 pm that I received is from someone that took the time to read and understand what we are looking for!
