Google is not indexing many pages on my website due to these reasons:
- Alternate page with proper canonical tag
Duplicate without user-selected canonical
Duplicate, Google chose different canonical than user
Someone looked quickly on the code and says we have wrongly installed multiple SEO extensions. But he has no time to look at it. Can someone help?

Those are just duplicate pages that do not need indexing by Google. Feel free to drop me an email if you'd like me to check your Search Console.

I think it is not that simple. Because Google will not index duplicate pages. So a lot my website content overlooked due to this ignorance. I'm not sure if we can take this issue lightly.

The number of indexed pages should generally be the actual number of unique content pages on your site, such as product pages, category pages and information pages. If you have for example 1,000 enabled products, you should not expect to see 10,000 indexed pages in Google, as many of those would be considered duplicate.
