When I add a new category to my store, for some reason it adds the category twice (adds a subcategory to it with the same name).
Any fixes?

It would be helpful to post which 1.5.x version, theme and extensions you are using.
Your website doesn't appear to use any categories at all! Also, you are using a faulty 3rd party extension, namely kbsupercheckout, which causes this error message:
Hence, you should contact its author to fix it first.
And then, if you plan to use categories, show us an example where you think it doesn't work.

I've fixed the knowband super checkout extension (well, disabled it), and also uploaded a category so that you can see what I'm talking about. Also thanks.
It would be helpful to post you OpenCart version, theme and extensions you are using. That doesn't look like OpenCart 1.5.x.
Well, why then posting in the OpenCart 1.5+ Support Section ??

And by extensions do you mean every extension I've enabled?
Have you tried the rebuild categories button on the top right of the Categories page?
Yeah I've tried rebuilding the categories but that hasn't worked.

You could try disabling some of your extensions one by one to see if any are the cause of the issue.
I've tried disabling the extensions one by one and clicked refresh after each one but none of them seem to be causing the issue.
It looks like your are using the 'all-cricket-bats' keyword for both a top-level and 2nd level category which won't work. Use unique SEO keywords. You may also have to disable the SEO - URL BASIC [3xxx] extension.

Check your oc_category and oc_category_path tables in your database. Do they match what you have set or what you are seeing?
I'll write the category name as 'All Cricket Bats' and then when I click save you can see what it does in the screenshot attached

In your database that OpenCart uses. You would have to ask your host if you don't know how to access it. Most hosting comes with phpMyAdmin or something similar in the control panel that you can use to browse your databases. The Batting Clinic wrote: ↑Wed Aug 21, 2024 8:18 pmwhere do I find the oc_category and oc_category_path tables?
