Howdy,
Total newb here. We tried installing the Paypal extension from Extension Installer. First time we got an error saying it couldn't find the install.JSON file. Next attempt we got Error "File already exist".
Version 4.0.2.2 hosted at siteground.
TIA!

Try it with OC 4.0.2.3, or better with the master branch (upcoming 4.1.0.0). The previous OC 4 versions simply had too many bugs which have been mostly fixed since then.

Hey there thanks for your time. Just to clarify, are you saying to ground-up reinstall with a different version of OC?
I did look into the extension on Git. There is indeed no json file in the version i'm using. It's there in other versions. I was considering placing it where it's supposed to be, zipping it up and trying again but if my version is known to be buggy I guess I'd trash it and go for 4.0.2.3.
Thanks!
Fresh database, fresh 4023 install, same experience upon trying to install paypal extension. No install.json file. Retrying the install produces "file already exist" error.
I found a file with the contents below:
{
"name": "OpenCart Default Extensions",
"description": "This extension contains all the default extensions for modules, currencies, payment methods, shipping methods, anti-fraud, themes, order totals and reports.",
"version": "1.0",
"author": "OpenCart Ltd",
"link": "https://www.opencart.com"
}
I guess I'll try adding this file to the extension zip and see what happens.

Which PayPal extension are you installing? Is it the correct one for that version of OpenCart?
