I finally re-installed opencart-3.0.3.8 and am now having an admin password issue.
After install and going to the admin area, I changed/entered data as suggested.
When i tried to login and failed i clicked on the 'reset' and had a link emailed to me. Clicked the email, made the changes and now it just keeps asking for user and password with NO link to reset.
Not sure what I did wrong or what to do to fix. Searched the forum and am even more confused than ever.
If i need to provide more info for help, let me know.
btw.. i installed 3.0.3.8 because the highest php my provider offers is 7.4.10
Thank you

The reset link isn't shown after a number of reset attempts.

This topic may be helpful is resetting your password.

I am having a similar issue. I just downloaded 3.03.9. It allowed me to log in once, but now it just blinks at me when I enter the very same credentials. It seems to recognize that the credentials are valid because I don't get the "invalid user or password" message like I do when I use a different user name or password. I followed the instruction on the linked topic above on how to change the password in phpmyadmin, but it does the same thing with the new password, blinks, no error message, but does not load the dashboard. It does not send me an email to reset password either.

Could be a session issue. Try clearing your web browser cache and cookies.

I tried that. Also tried a different device and different browsers. Same result.

Could be the result of changing the time zone.

If not that you need to check both the OpenCart and PHP error logs. You would also need to look in your web browser's developer tool for messages and check the session isn't getting reset.

It was the time zone issue. Is there a patch for this longstanding bug? Curious why it is still ongoing when there have been so many updates since this bug was discovered.

There is https://github.com/opencart/opencart/pull/13704 which also fixes the API. It will hopefully be included in 3.0.4.0 whenever that gets released.
