OpenCart SEO Pagination issue on category pages - /page/2//page/2

Hello,

My uncle contacted me last week with the following issue: The SEO URLs for Category Pagination doesn't work properly and when user wants to visit the second or the third page of the product listings in some category, his website loads incorect URLs and add 2 times page/2//page/2 or page/3//page3/. From this behaviours, users see 404 page and are not able to see the products there.

His website is: https://shop.amisega.net/ and is on OC version 2.3.0.2

I have searched the internet but so far couldn't find any relevant information for what may cause this issue and how to resolve it.

It's caused by an extension as OpenCart doesn't st the page like that. Check what extensions the store has installed.

SEO Pack Pro, but the module provider does not provide support for it anymore. Does anybody can help me to fix this out?

Check in the extension's options and see it you can switch of the changing of pagination URLs.

I have unchecked the pagination setting from here >>
Use SEO Pagination (eg. yoursite.com/category/page/3)

Now the store works OK, but the pagination URLs are with floating parameter. This is an example: https://shop.amisega.net/r-chno-izrabot ... ne/?page=2

As far as I know, the best SEO use case is to have them work like this (eg. yoursite.com/category/page/3)

Is there anything else you can suggest I can try?

I would say category/page/3 is no better for SEO, it may just look nicer.

I believe Google expects ?page=3.

If you did want to fix the issue, try disabling your other extensions to see if there is a conflict. You would probably have to contact the extension developer to fix the issue, as without access to the source code it hard to say what the issue is.
