Hello,

Unfortunately my installation fails with a 500 error.
I've already tried everything in .htaccess, without success.

What's going wrong?

$ttps://www.xxx.xx/install/index.php

We use Plesk with a VPS server.

config.php (777)
admin/config.php (777)
.htaccess (777)

Dateiattribute
Directories (777)

Code: Select all

## Uncomment the commands by removing the # sign in front of it.

# php_value post_max_size 999M

# php_value max_input_time 200

First:
What's going wrong?
How can we that know?
Are we magicians?

Second: even "only" an error 500 is displayed, what does the server log say?
Third: what for dou you need a .htaccess for the installation?
Fourth: which OpenCart version exactly are you trying to install?
Fifth: from where do you have this package?
Sixth: how do you install, explain exactly the steps.

At least: we have several servers with Plesk on it only.
Several hundred of clients, and never had troubles.

You should disable the line

Code: Select all

Options +FollowSymlinks
in the .htaccess, Plesk does not want that (finally it depends how the server is build).

You server's error log will have more details about the exact error.

Also, please be aware that OpenCart 4 isn't yet quite suitable for live websites, it is still subject to bugfixes and development.
