I have affiliate marketing completely turned off. The customer gets an email saying they earned commission on their purchase of 100%.

WTF is going on and how do I stop this?

OC version. Event Triggers for affiliates needs to be disabled from the OC admin.

Version is latest OC 4. 4.0.2.3 I believe

Where to turn this off? Every event that mentions affiliates? There are 7 pages!

The affiliate menu is empty and the main system config has "Affiliate Status" set to off. Sending random emails to customers is a serious bug!

If you are not using affiliates at all you can turn off all the events related to affiliates. if your concern is only mail then just turn off mail_affiliate_alert

Looking at the code, normally it should send no email IF the Notification for Partner is NOT enabled (see System > Email).
If that not works, seems to be another bug (why using OC 4.x is not recommended).

I deleted every single event that had affiliate in the name and it's still sending them out.

Do I need to post this on GitHub or another bug tracker? I have a list of bugs but sending emails to my customers that they earned 100% commission is really bad.

Before doing so, I would check any additional installed extensions - if you have.
If none are installed and used, then you can go ahead to open new issues at OpenCart GitHub Issues

Feels like a flaw in your affiliate marketing system. To avoid future confusion, check your settings to ensure that affiliate marketing is disabled.

Finally! Thank You!

I am so tired of people blaming *me* for this. I said 20 times its all off. Nor I do I need to know Opencart 4 is not recommended. It's too late for that. That information should be on the DOWNLOAD page, not buried in the forums after its operational.
