opencart 4023 live site
anyone know why the design tab might disappear from category's, i see general/data and seo but most of the time the general tab is gone.
tried disabling most of the extensions which are very few anyway
Did you tried clear cache of theme from admin "desktop" after disabling all extension.
let me know if you still facing issue.

Clear out / Purge all cache for example: From Admin Dashboard page at Top Right click on Gear icon and it will open "Developer Settings" Popup

It must be an extension so make sure you clear ALL the caches after disabling them.
