Hi,

I've entered a new product, but for some reason it's not accepting categories.

Hopfully Opencart doesn't have a limited number of products, currently have 2223 products.

Does anyone know why this is happening?

Can you explain what you mean by not accepting categories?

Are you using any extensions? Have you check both the PHP and OpenCart error logs? Have you check your web browser's developer console for errors.

Please check following things
1. The cateogry you are trying to assign exist in your category page without any error like. may be your datbase could be courrupted. in this case you have to regenerate your categories.
2. Please check your product form enteries. some fields are inter- related to each other. means they are not required field. but they must be selected or filled. if you will not do that. you will get error and couldnt' save the product.
3. you can also post your error log error in forum to get more detail about your issue.
if your problem still persist. let me know.

Can you explain in detail what you mean by not accepting categories?

Are you using any extensions? Something seems to have changed your startup/error.php files.

So you start typing in the category select box and what happens from there?

I have a client where that one dropdown does work on one mac device only. All the other dropdowns work, just that one dropdown and just on that one device.
Nothing appeared in categories.
Not sure it is the same, but if you have another device you can check it might be.

Can't select any from the categories drop down.
So they appear correctly but when you click them nothing happens?
Or they disappear but are not added to the input?
Either way, have you tried another browser and disabling any ad blockers?

My virus protector has my website address as it's safe site, and still can't save any categories.

This problem isn't happening on my cromebook?!?

Anyone have any idea why this is happening? And how to fix it?

Look, you have now spent days here, without getting closes to a solution. So how about, as a first step, you provide proper details, as per the forum rules?

It looks like you are using OCmod-based extensions to start with.

Export/Import Tool * SpamBot Buster * Unused Images Manager * Instant Option Price Calculator * Number Option * Google Tag Manager * Survey Plus * OpenTwig

It seems windows 11 is the problem, as that is the thing that has changed.

I haven't recently added any extensions, that could be at fault
