Recently, no changes have been made to the website, and there were no issues before.
However, I've noticed that when opening new web pages, the CPU usage spikes to 100%, while the memory remains normal at 34% without any changes. Upon checking, it was found that MYSQL is occupying 73% of the CPU usage.

The server has 10 cores and 20G of memory, which should be more than sufficient for the current website usage.

Any urgent help would be HIGHY appreciated!

OC 3.0.3.8
PHP 7.4 + MYSQL 8.0.24 + APACHE2.4

Hi, default theme or Journal 3 theme?
Journal 3 theme is resource-intensive, it is running out of resources.

Get a suitable theme without page builder, or build a custom one based on default theme.

Journal 3 extensively alters the structure of Opencart, it is best to backup database before making changes. We provide Opencart services to customize any theme (excluding those with page builders) based on your preferences.

The first thing to do would be to restart the server and see if that makes any difference. After that, I'd check your access logs and see if theres any spidering or IP addresses constantly accessing pages. Quite often these issues arise from content spiders trying to scrape all of your website.

I highly doubt it's Journal based on your specs to be honest, as you have got plenty of RAM

Could have been caused by a DoS attack, check your server's raw access log. See also this forum thread.

The Journal3 framework will indeed make your website several times slower than the OpenCart framework, because it's of poor quality, but as others have pointed out in this case it's not the main cause for your MySQL load issue.

Export/Import Tool * SpamBot Buster * Unused Images Manager * Instant Option Price Calculator * Number Option * Google Tag Manager * Survey Plus * OpenTwig

Hi, there!
Greetings!
I think the problem is related to extensions(plugin) or used theme's inefficient coding so we have to consider about project for optimizing.
Hope we will work together.
When we work together, I can handle your problem within good time.
Best regards.
