I have the most recent version of opencart 4.0.2.3 and today's paypal extension.
Ubuntu 22.04 VPS Server and PHP 8.0
With the paypal extension i made the connection to paypal 3 times - but its not working.
I downloaded here and uploaded with the opencart Interface and it seems its correct installed.

And if i go to the middle download ability of Paypal extension (don't know if i need that additionslly....)
It comes an error message - see the image i attached.

Any Ideas to solve that problem?

The PayPal Checkout Integration extension does seem to have issues connecting for some. Use the get support button on the extension page in the marketplace.

Signature hash does not match usually means your settings in your store do not match your OpenCart marketplace account.

I wouldn't make the ticket public, it would be a good idea to remove the link.

Same issue here.

I have OC 4.0.2.3 and running php8.1 with OC default theme.
No way to enable the Paypa extension. Click on Connect and successfully connected to my Paypal account, but the module always displays Disabled.

Since downloaded the free version, no purchase ID found in my OC account, I can't send support ticket to the developer/author.

The Paypal extension support is terrible. It seems, that someone without any technical understanding is sitting there. I got 3times the same worthles faq link.
I think i delete opencart again and search for another shop system.
Without a paypal possibility and such a bad support it makes no sense to use it.
That's a pity.

Well, if you care for an already tested OC Version, better try the latest OC v.3.0.3.9 Release, it seems to work well.
It always takes some time with latest OC Versions, to work as planned, as we all know, being around for some time ...
Good Luck ! ;)

No service with the paypal extension. I made a video and explained 3 times, that i have my own server and no ftp or cpanel access.
The answer was more times the same:
"If you do not give us access to the admin panel of opencart and ftp, then we are unlikely to be able to help you."
The answer comes of persons, with zero technical understanding or a KI makes that.

The developer of the extension is not interested or he no longer exists.
Time to delete opencart. Was wasting time. A software with basics errors and no interest to solve it, is not usable for business.
