Adding e-book to existing product page (for sale)

Hello,

I use Open Cart Version 3.0.2.0.

I sell books on my site and I want to add e-books to existing products but I am unsure if there is a way to do so. I want to enable the customer to choose an e-book as one of the options, to pay a particular price, and to receive a downloadable link. Is this even possible?

Hi

Yes, You can create downloads in the admin panel / catalog / downloads and assign them to products. Customers can download the purchased files when their order status matches a complete status.
But you cannot assign downloads to the product options. In this case you will need an extension.

Do you know where I can get an extension which allows me to add another option to the product page? Also, would it be possible for an extension to allow me to automatically send a downloadable link to the customer?

I want to charge 9.95 for the e-book but I don't want to create a new product page for it because I already have a product page for the paperback and hardcover editions of the book.
