Can anyone tell me what I should be putting in the User ID for the USPS Shipping extension. The document that I received for this type of set up is giving me a Username and Password to use. However, this extension isn't requiring a password and I'm not sure if "User ID" means I should be using the Username I was provided. I assume yes. However, whenever I test the shipping by trying to checkout, I get the error that no shipping option is available. The error log shows nothing.

What am I doing wrong? And, yes, the extension is enabled. ;)

You don't need to use the password. I think the password may be required for other USPS APIs, but for the Rates one (which is the only thing OpenCart uses) it is not needed. Make sure you're using your WebTools username, which you get here:

https://registration.shippingapis.com

If the extension isn't working, try turning on Debug mode and check the OpenCart error log. It should show the API request and API response. Hopefully that points you in the right direction, but if not, try posting the results here.

If you can't get it working and want a paid option, I have a USPS Pro extension available. It also supports the new Ground Advantage service, which the built-in one does not. Thank you for the offer for a paid plug in. There should be no need for a paid plug in when a free connection is available, or should be.
I did visit the link you provided and that is where I got my username. So, that is correct in my system. However, when I test a checkout, I get the following message.

"Warning: No shipping options are available. Please contact us for assistance"

I just need help understanding why it's not working when everything is set up correctly.

Debug is on. When tested, nothing shows up in the error log.
