I would really appreciate some guidance on a technical issue as detailed below:
I have recently tried to install an extension for PayPal (PayPal Checkout Integration / Commerce Platform) on my OpenCart website (version 2.1.0.2) but unfortunately I’ve had some issues. I’ve managed to upload the extension (zip file) which was successful but when looking under the payments table in opencart, the new paypal payment option is not showing therefore I am unable to enable it. I tried to troubleshoot by selecting the refresh button under modifications and cleared cache and logged out and back in again but still no success.
I would be grateful if you had any insight as to why the new payment option is not listed for me to activate it even after a successful upload. The version listed above was the earliest version available to select - but the version I am running is 2.1.0.2 - which I understand is compatible with the extension we are trying to install.
I contacted PayPal direct and they advised that it looked like I may need a ‘plug in’ from open cart in order to activate the new extension file.
Any thoughts?
Thank you :-)

You could hire a developer to install the extension for you. If you need to find a developer, you can post a request in the OpenCart "Commercial Support" forum, which is checked by a number of OpenCart developers. You can also try checking out the OpenCart "Partners" area.
If you can't get it working, then I've developed my own PayPal extension because so many people are having trouble with the free one. If you end up wanting to check that out, you can see it here:

Which extension is this exactly? Have you got a link to it? Who is the developer? Have you requested support through OpenCart?donnasales wrote: ↑Mon Jun 26, 2023 4:32 amI have recently tried to install an extension for PayPal (PayPal Checkout Integration / Commerce Platform) on my OpenCart website (version 2.1.0.2)

I'm sure it's the official one:
https://www.opencart.com/index.php?rout ... n_id=38358
That's the only one called "PayPal Checkout", and the only one people seem to have a lot of issues with.

Then probably the best thing would be to click "Get Support" on the extension page I think.
