On an iOS device with Safari, the Shopping cart is always empty if I add an article.
I have the version 4.0.2.1, the problem is reproductible on https://demo.opencart.com/
I have not the problem with a Android Device or Windows PC.
Opencart is installed on a Windows Server 2019 with IIS.
The ipad Device is have iOS 16.5 and it's the same problem with Safari or Google Chrome.

Some CSS coding were fixed on the MB. You might want to go it a try even though it is not production-ready so to know if it also solves the issue with IOSes.
