Hello,
Please see attached PDF file.
For some reason, the wrong admin user ID is being identified when different admins log into the back-end of the website. It doesn't matter which admin actually logs in, the website only recognizes one admin, the same admin every time. Can anyone help me understand how this can be fixed?
I noticed this issue because the website back-end is secured by 2-factor authentication. Since this started happening about 5 days ago, the website always sends the login code to the same email address for all users. So I have had to disable the 2-factor authentication.
Opencart version 2.3.0.2
Thanks to all who help!
Marc

Which provider are you using for 2FA?

This is the 2-factor authentication module that was installed. But I don't think this is the issue, because I completely removed it and problem continues.

Are you using any sort of cache or external proxy? Did you or your host make any changes just before it started to happen? Have you refreshed your modifications and all caches? Have you checked both your OpenCart and PHP error logs?

Thank you for replies. Please see responses to questions:
1. Are you using any sort of cache or external proxy?
- Website uses Journal2 theme, with journal cache enabled.
2. Did you or your host make any changes just before it started to happen?
- NO. But work is being done on the site by a well regarded developer that is an Opencart Premium Partner. But they say their work is front-end only and did not cause the issue.
3. Have you refreshed your modifications and all caches?
- YES. Refreshed modifications, Journal cache, and also deleted VQMod cache files. Additionally, completely removed the 2FA module. The actions did not fix the issue.
4. Have you checked both your OpenCart and PHP error logs?
- Yes, per instructions from the developer of the 2FA module, after refreshing / deleting cache files, I attempted admin login with 2FA auth module installed. See relevant error logs related to 2FA below. For complete error log, see attached file.

First of all, this is not an OpenCart bug. Also, this is for OpenCart issues, but you use the Journal2 framework.

Your options are to contact the Journal support and ask them how to make your other extension compatible with their framework, or you can re-post on on the commercial support section of this form, to find a professional developer who can sort it out for a charge.
