I'm using the default theme on Version 4.0.1.1, and inside the Admin Interface made a small template change using the Theme Editor (Just commented out text I didn't want to show on the page). Now a TMD Extension (Product Video) that was supposed to be 4.0 compatible, does not work. The developer tells me this is because of the change I made and to fix it, he logged on with admin access and deleted the template.
Does this seem normal to anyone? Why would there be a Theme Editor that was incompatible with all extensions?

It has been a longstanding issue that using multiple methods to edit files in opencart will cause issues (this would be the same for any system).
Originally there was VqMod - as Opencart developed newer methods have been included - with Events there is another - Events is supposed to move everyone away from all other methods and just use that .. the explanation goes on.
Think about it logically .. if you have 4 people editing a single novel they will just get in each others way on occasion. This is also true of multiple modules, the two together is more likely to fail and in reality it fails less often logic would say it should (due to simple OC structure - - planning of modules - good developer programming - developer support - etc etc etc ). TMD could have explained better how to get the edits made in the theme editor to work with the module - Maybe they did for a fee ?
It should be clearer for users who are not familiar with the inner workings to choose one method and stick with it.
