relative image url on information pages

Is there an extension or fix to the issue with information pages and relative urls for images yet?

I found this fix viewtopic.php?t=219299&hilit=relative+image, but the code to find in the reported file is not there.

I found this fix viewtopic.php?t=209134&hilit=relative+image, but when I make that edit, I get a 404 logging into the admin.

Anything out there that actually works?
