SETTINGS - can not be saved on 4.0.1.1

1 - I just did a fresh install of the OC 4.0.1.1 to test it out. Anything I change and click save- no problem. But when I go to main settings to change any of the store info, when I click on SAVE - nothing happens. Nothing gets saved
2 - Install wants me to change the admin directory name - when that is changed, how will the plugins/extensions know where the admin folder is now?

I am having this issue on 4.0.1.1

Within the Admin menu, click System
Click on Settings
Click the Edit button for store
Change text in any box, and click save
Nothing saves

May be a security setting from apache, remove all robots from setting and then try again.

Unable to reproduce it, saving settings works just fine.

However, why didn't you read this forum thread: Try the master branch's 4.0.2.0.

In general, 4.0.1.1 is not suitable for a live website, it's not a stable release.
