1. Lets Encrypt
2. SSL Certs like https://www.ssl.com/certificates/basicssl/ [for 1 domain] or https://www.ssl.com/certificates/premiumssl/ [incl.3 subdomains]
3. EV Extended like https://www.ssl.com/certificates/ev/
Pros:
1. cost nothing, hoster has to provide tool
2. from cheap until not so cheap (depends on your needs)
3. the best of all, guarantees the most verification of all (only companies get it, and a real person will verify the existense)
Cons:
1. every script kiddie and hacker can use it .. guarantees nothing
2. nothing to say against
3. expensive (while this is relative, you want to get money, so spend a bit in security and trustness)
General:
1. is done through the server backend (CPanel, Plesk, etc.) - no further interaction by user
2. & 3: a CSRF has to be created first manual, that is used further by the certification authority for verification that you are the person who wants a certificate [that's why those are the better and best]
Finally: NO website, expcially webshops should be operated without any SSL certificate!
They cost from nothing to not much - that money will come back through your purchases.
And, search engines do not like website WITHOUT certificates.
And, the GDPR (and other regulations) require the communication between the user and the website established secured (which is fullfilled with an SSL Certificate).
